The Blessing House Ministry concept began in 1997 in the home of Gail Berger in Waconia, Minnesota. After being widowed at age 50, she earned her M-Div. and was ordained in 1997. At that time, she redesigned her home to be used as a ministry center leveraging her gifts of hospitality, teaching and spiritual counseling. Many were drawn to the homey and inviting atmosphere through classes, events, new friendships and personal ministry. The success of those 13 years proved the effectiveness of such a setting under her leadership.
In 2014, Gail’s personal ministry relocated to Victoria, MN and became a non-denominational, 501c3 non-profit named the Blessing House Ministry. The center of activity was intended to be the house itself with gardens, outdoor patios and pathways all designed for groups and individuals to gather. The main purpose revolved around biblical teachings, seminars, meetings and personal quiet time. Day retreats and celebrations would find a natural home is this creative and beautiful environment.
Today, the Blessing House is in its 11th year and remains committed to providing a God-centered home where all who enter are welcomed and valued as the Lord’s guest.
